Office Essentials..

Office essentials to dress for success:

Suits: Blue, Black and Grey are great suits to start out with

Blazers: neutrals are the way to go, and avoid ostentatious fabrics (no velvet, please) that aren't suited to professional environments.

Pants: Opt for a couple of dark pairs - black or charcoal are great - and at least a pair of khakis for spring and summer wear.

Shirts: Are essential, go with a white shirt.

Sweaters: Vests aren't bulky, so they fit well beneath a suit jacket; look for neutral or dark shades that suit professional environments.

Pictures..

These are some pictures that I found that I think are great examples of clothes for the office.

Jewelry

Jewelry can really play up an outfit!
But too much jewelry can be distracting, and you don't want that when your meeting new clients.

Earrings that accent the face, such as simple studs or hoop earrings. You don't want to wear anything that are too flashy, save that for the night out on the town.
You want to wear rings that are modest, if your married wearing your wedding band is okay. You don't want anything to gaudy.
Same goes for necklaces, wearing a necklace that could get caught in the desk drawer when you bend down to open it is probably something you don't want to risk happening.
Watches, well I love watches and I love the real fancy ones, but sometimes they can be too distracting. Wearing a watch that has some diamonds is okay :)

Who would have thought that socks are important?? well they are important to wear with shoes, who wouldn't..ewww... anyway I mean choosing a pair that match! I know my socks never match! oops.

Men generally are not too picky when picking their wardrobe, they don't have to be! I think they look good with a tshirt and a pair of jeans. But in the office lets be a little more causious in choosing what we wear, especially socks! We don't want a black and brown sock..really?

Theres even a guide in choosing for seasons! Who would of thunk??

Perfumes..

When it comes to the office wearing perfume could be a no no especially if its overpowering!
Some offices don't allow perfume worn in the office because some people may have allergies.

But if you are like me, I have to wear something! Even if its just lotion, smelling good gives you a kind of confidence!

Where to buy nice work clothes on a budget

We all know that spending a lot of money on just work clothes just isn't in the budget, but we all need to look professional in the office. Lucky for us there are some stores that help people who are on a budget.
TJMaxx carries discounted name brand clothes that department stores couldnt sell, from button down blouses to blazers, and not just for women. They sell men clothes too.

Go to a goodwill store in a nicer part of town, rich people tend to get rid of nice clothes to the goodwill. The chances of finding good quality clothes are pretty high.

Makeup in the office

Ladies!
I know most of you already know how to apply makeup, but have you ever thought about what is too much or too little for the office??
You don't want too little that you look like a little kid or unprofessional. And you don't want to wear too much to come off as Sultry or look like a 'working girl,' now that would not be good on your part especially working with men!
I love love makeup! And I'am always looking up videos and blogs on how to achieve a certain look. So now I'm here to help you!
I know all of us want to look our absolute best when we go out into public and the office.

Here is a very helpful link to help you achieve that au natural gorgeous look!

Now Ladies,
I know some of you don't like makeup, or simply don't have time to fuss with your face especially when you have a million other things to juggle! I totally get it. But makeup doesn't have to be hard or time consuming! Take 10 minutes out of your morning to beautify yourself!
1.Primer
2.Concealer
3.Mascara
4. Lipstick
That is all you need! Now there are a million different makeup products, but you don't have to spend a ton of money on makeup, heck just going to the 99 cent store sells makeup!
But I believe in quality, and think of it as treating yourself! Makeup last for quite a while, so if you spend about $30 on foundation, that will last you for about 6 months! Especially if your not a frequent user.
I prefer MAC foundation, I am very picky on what kind of foundation I use, and this brand is high end. For my eyes I just go to target. For lips I bought some Mac lipstick but any brand is good.

How to dress in the office

Knowing what to wear can be quite challenging, especially dressing in professional attire. You know you want to feel good about yourself in dress code, and depending where you work can be kind of difficult. Some jobs can be more strict on dress code where others are very leinent.
Wear navy, black, or gray. Strong bold colors like red are okay too, paring it with a black jacket would look nice. A white button down blouse for women will look nice, a white crisp button shirt for men goes with pretty much anything.
Pumps or flats are professional shoes to wear in the office, in colors such black, gray, or a dark navy blue. Closed toe shoes are best to wear.
Go easy on the jewlery, nothing to blingy, something more on the subtle side is more professional.
For men its pretty easy to dress, just don't wear crazy colors or weird designs on your ties.
Making sure your clothes are ironed will make you look very professional, no  one wants to see you come into the office looking like you just rolled out of bed.

Ladies follow this link to get a little more detail advice on what to wear.
